Poet Michael O’Dea has a wonderful Goya video on his blog. Worth checking out. I hadn’t seen some of them before and I’m a big Goya fan.
I hadn’t known Michael had a blog, but he sent me news of a recent publication for Irish Writers Online, ie
a bilingual, Galician/English chapbook, Felos ainda serra, which was published in Galicia in 2005 by Amastra-N-Gallar. That’s Galicia in Spain, I take it.
Good for him. The only other Irish writer I know of who has been published in Galician is Pearse Hutchinson, about whom there will be a symposium in Trinity College Dublin next week to celebrate his 80th birthday, which was earlier in the year.
More about that anon.
