In these chilled days of February, it was warming news to hear that Dialogue in Fading Light, my new and selected poems which was published in November, is now out of stock as far as the publisher is concerned.
I know there are a few copies left in Books Upstairs in College Green, and there may be copies in other shops, but essentially it is sold out.
Many thanks to all who bought it and a general thanks for all who went to the trouble of sending nice emails and letters.
I’m somewhat mystified as to how it could have sold out so quickly as I haven’t even given a proper reading of it as yet. Of course exposure on Pat Boran’s The Enchanted Way (still available online as Programme 12, 26 November, 2005) must have helped a lot, and I’ve no doubt that Joseph O’Connor choosing it as one of his books of the year in The Sunday Tribune sold a few copies too.
Anyway, for whatever reason, thank you all. You’ve made an old man happy.

Bloody hell ! Well done !
