Many moons ago, I met the artist Eileen Ferguson at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre in Annamakerrig, the retreat for writers, artists and musicians.
Eileen recently stumbled across my website and asked me to highlight a different kind of retreat outside Sligo town. Glad to.
Here’s what she wrote.

Anyway I am trying to contact writers who maybe interested in short stays
in my house on Coney Island.
It is a reconstructed barn on the tidal island of Coney in Sligo Bay. it
has mod cons and an ideal place to do some writing. It is tranquil and has
great scenery. If you get cabin fever you can drive off between the

Might be worth checking out Eileen’s site anyway. She has a retropective set of her work of ten years available. Also the Coney Island pictures are great, showing you can see Ben Bulbun as well as spectacular views, as well as the famous Metal Man.
