But James, don’t blame yourself. Most people know that millions of Americans (including many friends of mine) worked themselves to the bone to ensure that this wouldn’t happen, in a way that would put most Europeans and certainly most Irish to shame.
As a citizen of the United States I am deeply embarrassed, appalled, and mortified. It is like watching a train wreck is slow motion. I cannot believe that we as a nation elected this person to our highest office, not only once but twice. Let me say that I truly believe that both elections were stolen by partisan cronies in high places. Please accept my heart felt apologies. I promise we will do better next time.
